The VOLAR SPORT swingarm by Martin R&D is designed to improve the stiffness and strength characteristics of the original Talaria. It is engineered to push the vehicle's performance to the limit.
To achieve these goals, finite element analyses (FEM) were performed comparing it with the original swingarm, evaluating local deformations and stresses to identify both qualitatively and quantitatively the limits of the original and the features to enhance.
The main optimized parameters are lateral and torsional stiffness. Additionally, resonance frequency checks were carried out to avoid vibrations during operation even on rough terrains and frequent potholes, allowing maximum and safe performance in all conditions.
The resulting prototype is perfect for cross and enduro use, significantly improving chattering issues commonly found in pit-bike applications.
